I had been thinking for a while that I needed a change. Inspiration. A new spark.

I love blogging but I often feel I'm "not doing it right". Feeling uninspired and uninspiring. I needed a blogging spirit guide. I started re-reading one of my favourite people - Gala Darling's blog from the very first post. I'm still working my way through the 439 pages of beautiful content. I knew I needed to shake things up a bit.

These thoughts about change and inspiration were strongest last night.

I tried to compose a blog post explaning my feelings but words were failing me so I just logged off.

I woke up this morning to find 3 blogging spirit guides calling out to me.

The Blogcademy.

Gala Darling announced that they were going on a world tour and one of their stops would be in Toronto.

This is it.

The thought of going freaked me out. What if I was awkard. What if I wasn't a good enough blogger. What if afterwards I STILL wasn't.

That's how I knew I had to do it.

Corny as it sounds: believe it = be it

The magic of asking for what you want now has a sequel.

It may sound cliche but it is definitely true that if you can believe in yourself, you can surpass even your own expectations.

If you know me at all you know I AM NOT A DANCER. I enjoy going to clubs, but end up swaying awkwardly around while the rest of the group seems to get possessed by the music. I love being in musicals, but dance auditions were the bane of my existence...

Until....

June 3rd I had a dance audition for White Christmas. Two in fact. One tap and one jazz. I'd usually be a bundle of nerves for a few days leading up to it, but this year felt different.

As I hit the stage the one thought in my mind was "I got this!" and I totally did.

While I didn't turn out a So You Think You Can Dance performance, it was honestly the best dance audition I'd ever had. Simply by telling myself "not to worry, you will do it".

Confident thought translated to confident action.

Confident action scored me a spot in the chorus. Chorus = BIG DANCE NUMBERS.

I'm telling you people! The magic works!

That was seriously the best dance audition I've ever had! It's so much easier to dance once you tell yourself you can do it. I actually had no nerves and thought "I got this" as I hit the stage and I totally did! Believe it = be it!

I've been dreaming of a bike. A pink cruiser with a wicker basket. You may have seen my etsy bike accessory wishlist a little over a week ago...

On Friday I decided to ask for what I wanted. On facebook I posted:

Dear Universe:
Please deliver me a pink Schwinn cruiser.
Love, Erin.

LESS THAN 12 HOURS LATER....

I admit, it's not a Schwinn but it is EXACTLY THE BIKE I'VE BEEN DREAMING OF. It's exactly the right size for my short legs. It's exactly my price range. Perfect colour. Perfect handlebars. Perfect fit for my basket. DID I MENTION IT'S PERFECT?

Ask for what you want. IT'S THAT EASY.
